Checking in to remind you to trust yourself today.
I know there are A LOT of messages out there bombarding your brain all day. There are courses, groups & challenges stating they will fix problems you didn’t even know you had. Here, when I share lessons from my own journey and insights about what’s working wonders for my clients . . . I want to be sure you know that I don’t think you are the embodiment of some issue to be fixed. You’re not. You can trust yourself.
This is needed context when you consider that there is a force out there actively working to convince you NOT to trust yourself. It’s fear.
In my recent candid conversation, where two friends & colleagues joined me to speak about courage and confidence, we discussed how those two ideas end up creating a cycle. The more courage you summon and take action upon, the more confidence you have and so on.
Here’s another cycle that’s [admittedly] not as much fun but just as crucial. It’s the cycle of fear and failure. Anytime fear of failing keeps you from trying the cycle kicks into gear. The one thing that’s certain here is that it’s impossible to succeed if you don’t start. So as long as you let fear keep you still you’re closer to failing then you realize.
No judgment. I’ve been there myself. Fear keeps you from taking action, which is the only path to success. So don’t let yourself be scared stiff.
Get going. If even you head out in the wrong direction at least you’ve learned what path to avoid.
Anything I share is intended to serve as an example of how I grew to trust myself more and listen less to that voice of fear in the back of my mind. If I can do it, you can too. And if there’s any way I can support you in that . . . I’d be glad to.
